Beach party Ideas for the novice
Are you planning to hold a beach party this summer? Well, you’ve come
to the right place. Read this simple article to find out how you can
hold the perfect beach party to suit all your needs.
 Choosing some
cool beach party themes
You would think that a beach party could have just one theme, right?
Wrong! There are so many beach party themes that we got a little
overwhelmed! Take a look at the more fun themes that we found on the
internet
- Sin and seduction beach party themes where couples are supposed
to be dressed in yin and yang themes of good and bad. A few people
have also referred to them as the punks and pastors theme parties
where one person dresses as a priest and the other is dressed as a
punk.
- Murder Mystery beach party themes are really good too. You can
enlist the help of a few friends and act out a murder mystery. The
guests invited at the party can guess at the murderer and the cause
of the murder to win prizes.
- Mermaid and merman Beach theme parties can be really fun too
where you can arrange couples or individuals to dress up as mermaids
and mermen or even as King Neptune to set the theme of the party.
The food can be seafood oriented and the invitations should be
designed to look like aquatic animals.
- Tropical theme beach parties are a very common theme. If you
like it, then do go ahead with tropical plants, a barbeque and theme
costumes that are right for the idea.
- Luau beach theme parties are good fun for everyone although they
can be a little common.
- Try shipwrecked and survivor theme beach parties. You can
arrange a beach shack where your guests are served barbeque foods
and finger foods. Try to get the decorations to match the theme of
the party.

The Beach Party Essentials
- Food- No matter what theme of beach party you choose, a
barbeque or central fire is essential. You can arrange for a
large bonfire on which live barbeques are roasted. Of course, a
whole pig would be really great but if you cannot manage that,
then a side barbeque of whole chickens, pork shanks, lamb chops
etc is ideal. Most beach theme parties require finger food that
is easy to prepare and serve. You will not be able serve well
cooked food or gourmet dishes so choose your menu according to
your theme and your convenience.
- Alcohol- Beer and wine is ideal. Try to skip the hard stuff
as most guest do not live close to the beach and they will have
to drive back home late in the night.
- Casual seating- Please ensure that you have a lot of bean
bags, carpets, durries and other casual seating arrangements
ready for your guests. Try to avoid the conventional seating of
chairs and tables and encourage your guests to relax on well
combed sand that has been raked clean.
- Weather checks- Beach parties are going to be held outdoors.
Ensure that you check the weather 24 hours before hand and at
least two to three hours before the party. If possible arrange
for a outdoor tent to be set up for guests to relax in if the
weather changes. Ask guests to carry cold weather cover ups as
it does get chilly when late at night on beaches.
Before you actually try to set a beach party, decide on
whether you want a formal or informal party and then decide the
theme of the party. The decorations, food and location will fall
into place according to your theme. Have fun arranging a beach
theme party!
